Birthday Weekend

Over the weekend I spent most of my time trying to figure out what to do for my birthday. (Monday September 30^th) I’m turning 18 and I wanted to do something fun since I didn't the past two birthdays, plus I've been so busy with school, work and soccer I deserve to have some fun.

Friday I was busy because I soccer practice and we all had to go to a special event for fall sports at the football game. We were announced on the field and a part of a long line of people cheering the football players as they ran on the field. I stayed for the whole game and I was tired.

Saturday I had a soccer game at 6:30 and I had a limited time to do a little something for my birthday before the game. I was struggling to figure out what to do around the area but there was nothing. So Conner and I decided to go to the mall for a little and by something. I bought a few things at Hot Topic which cost me $60. I came home and got ready for my soccer game and as I was leaving my dog Copper died, a Jack Russell Terrier who was 17 years old. It was very saddening because I had to leave which caused me to miss his burial. I was crying all way to my game but calmed when I got there. We lost our game but I was so close on scoring a goal as well.

Sunday I had another chance to find something to do for my birthday. I searched everywhere on the internet on what to do. Still nothing but there was a place I want to go to and that was, Sky zone,  the indoor trampoline park. When Conner and I got there we have to sign a waiver which also had to be signed by an adult. I was super mad because I was one day away from being an adult. So we left and decided to go to Monster Mini Golf. I was cool and fun, it was also all black lighted too. In the end I ended up winning giving me a good birthday weekend.

Dream Car

My dream car is a 2012 yellow Camaro with the custom black racing strips. I got my fantasy ever since “Transformers the Movie” came out which had the character Bumblebee who transformed into the new 2012 Camaro. That was when I quickly fell in love with it. Transformers also became my favorite movie at the time probably because of all the cool cars turning into giant fighting robots, which I thought were cool. I wish and hope to have that car whenever I get a chance and I kept telling myself that in the future I will have it for sure.

I also love the old 1973 Camaros with the same paint job. I grew up loving old car because of my dad so I am a big fan with really old cars and trucks. The one type of Camaro I don’t like is the 1985’s version. They look too retro and the front makes it look like a blocky car, but any other car from the 80s and 70s I would love to also have as my car.

Another car I really love is the Delorean from the movie “Back to the Future.” That movie was also great and I loved that car. I see it in so many car shows before but I saw the original in Tennessee at Ripley’s Believe or Not. All the really old cars are my favorite which is why it’s hard for me chose one over the other because I love them all, but my dream car would still have to be the 2012 Camaro.   

Kentucky Vacation

Last summer I went to Lake Cumberland in Kentucky for a vacation. It was my first vacation in five years. I've been dyeing and begging my dad for a vacation for a long time and I finally got it! I really wanted to go camping, because I haven’t been camping since I was seven, but going to Kentucky was good. What was also great was that I got to take Conner (boyfriend) with me! Don’t worry my dad is super protective.

My dad is a busy man especially with his new business he has, it’s a tire shop, he there 24/7 and it makes me mad when that’s all he thinks about. We were supposed to leave at noon on Friday so we had all day there to enjoy because we were only staying there until Sunday night. We didn't leave until 9’o clock because he was working at the tire shop. So we finally go there at midnight but we all didn't to bed until two in the morning. Where we stay at was a really nice small log cabin that sat on a cliff near the edge of Lake Cumberland. The view was beautiful but scary at the same time plus there was woods surrounding us as well.

It was Saturday morning and I want to leave and go enjoy the day a do something but I had to wait for my dad to moving, before we left Ohio he promised me he wouldn't be on his phone or doing anything work related, but what does he do he gets on his phone doing work. We didn't leave the cabin until 4’o clock, I was so mad because I didn't want to spend my whole day there, so we ended up hiking the cliff near the cabin and went sit seeing around the lake. Later that day Conner and I went down to lake and drove my uncle’s jet ski around the lake for an hour but a storm came and we had to stop and get out of the lake. When we pulled up to the dock my dad was nowhere to be found, it was lightening and thundering with phones just standing at the dock holding onto the Jet Ski waiting for him. He finally came 30 minutes later it made us mad.

Sunday was the same exact day as Saturday only we got to a giant water fall it was amazing and big I was practically standing right next to it. We also got to visit a historic battlefield. Before we left we visited my uncle and he showed me a couple pictures of him with the Turtle Man off of “Call of the Wildman.” I was jealous because I love his show and I would have loved to see him as well.  So we left Kentucky at 9’o clock and didn't get home until midnight. I was so tired but I still had lots of fun and I was glad we went and I can’t wait until we go again.

Comicon

Do you know what comicon is? It’s a convention all about comics, games and characters such as: superheroes. You know what else is great, you get to show up to the convention dressed up as your favorite character. I've always wanted to go one for a while because I wanted to see what it was like and all about for myself. Well on September 7th I got that chance. I had less than a weeks’ notice when I heard about it but I still decided I didn't want to miss it. I also wanted to dress up as my favorite character as well so I dressed up as Tira for the video game Soul Caliber.

After soccer practice I went to the costume store to buy a few things for my costume. I bought a purple wing and a can of silver spray paint. I went home and got started on my costume. I already had an outfit for my costume, all I needed was the weapon and that was a hula-hoop blade. I've spent two hours working on it and it turned out great. I was proud of my work especially getting all this done at last minute.

The day finally came; I couldn't sleep the night before so I woke up early with excitement. I put my costume on and it looked great. I picked up Conner and we were on the road, to the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. When we got there I was a little nervous because I saw a lot of people that weren't dressed up and I thought I was going to be the only one dressed up. As soon as I got it the convention I saw some people dressed up. I felt a lot better right after.

While walking around, I got a lot of compliments plus many people wanted a picture with me. It was a lot fun and better than I expected. I bought a few cool comics because it’s comicon. It was the best, first comicon convention I've been to and I can’t wait for the next one and yes, I will be dressing up again and it will be even better.
